LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teen was taken into custody after police answered back-to-back calls about a burglary and and armed robbery in Lexington on Monday.
Police said the first call came in at 12:27 a.m. on Woodhill Drive.
A woman called to report a man with a long-gun in her detached garage.
He left before police got there.
Then at 12:29 a.m. there was another call, this one on Woodhill Drive and Osage Court.
A man said three men. one with a long-gun, approached him, robbed him of his cell phone and keys and put out a cigarette on his face.
Police searched the area and found a man matching the description of one of the suspects.
They said he was walking with a limp and after stopping and searching him, found a long-gun stuffed in his pants.
Police said the suspect was 17-years-old.
They are searching for the other two suspects.
