Lawrenceburg teenager dead after car crash

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Lawrenceburg teen is dead after a weekend crash in Anderson County.

State Police say 17-year-old Sydney Peffer died at Frankfort regional hospital after a crash involving one car on Kentucky 512, Alton station road.

The car’s driver was also a 17-year-old from Lawrenceburg.

State Police say she was driving east on Alton Station when she did not navigate a turn properly, causing the car to overturn, which then threw Peffer out of the car.
