UPDATE: Arrest warrant issued for suspect in fatal Lexington shooting


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Lexington Police Department says a warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon.

Officers say Courtney Darnell Kidd, 32, is wanted for murder and robbery.

Police say they went to the 100-block of Lakeshore Drive on Sunday shortly after 4:00 p.m. after a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, investigators say they found Jordan Yeast, 26, in a vehicle with gunshot wounds.  The coroner pronounced Yeast dead at the scene.

Officers say they believe Yeast and Kidd knew one another, and are reviewing evidence to determine what may have led to the shooting.

Anyone with information about Kidd’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Lexington Police Department.

Victim in weekend shooting in Lexington identified

The coroner has identified the victim in a weekend shooting in Lexington.

The Fayette County Coroner said 26-year-old Jordan Yeast died of gunshot wounds.

Yeast was found shot near an apartment complex at 164 Lakeshore Drive in Lexington at around 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

The coroner said Yeast was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is ruled a homicide.

Police have not arrested a suspect.
