LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Monday, University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto attended a ceremony formally renaming the UK College of Pharmacy building – known as the Biological-Pharmaceutical Building – after UK’s 11th president, Lee T. Todd, Jr.

Todd led the efforts to secure state and private funding for a state-of-the-art College of Pharmacy.

Funding for the building included $120 million from the Kentucky state legislature with $40 million appropriated in 2004 as first-phase funding and an additional $80 million funded in 2006.

Additional funding also came from the university and private donors. UK broke ground on the facility in 2007 and formally dedicated it in early 2010.
