Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in London


LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – London Police say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a man with meth and dozens of pills.

Investigators say 43-year old David Jones was arrested on Tuesday and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, no operator’s-moped license and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Police say they located a silver box hidden inside a speaker cabinet containing 12.5 grams of meth, 30 unidentified pills believed to be gabapentin, 5 pills believed to be hydrocodone, a digital scale, several small clear plastic bags, and three short plastic straws.

Jones was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
