LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Golden Alert was canceled an hour and forty minutes after it was issued when a missing Lexington man with Alzheimer’s was found safe, according to Lexington Police.
73-year old Gary Riggs had been missing since 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from a home on Hannibal Court, near Twain Ridge Drive in Lexington.
In addition to Alzheimer’s, Riggs is also a diabetic and had not taken his diabetes medication in some time, so it was feared he may have become disoriented, according to police.
Investigators did not release any details surrounding Riggs’ safe return.
