LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- After 17 years and more than 5.5 million meals served, Lexington’s Catholic Action Center and Community Inn are packing up.
The center has started setting up the inside of the new building and could use some volunteers. They are in need of volunteers this Saturday anytime between 10 a.m. -4 p.m. at their new location, 1055 Industry Road.
Organizers say the new facility will allow them to have better services to those living in Lexington without shelter, including being open 24 hours per day.
They also say the new site will feature a brand new kitchen, laundry facilities, more bathrooms, lockers, and cell phone charging stations. It’ll also be wheelchair accessible.
