UPDATE: Golden Alert canceled for elderly woman in Georgetown


GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Georgetown Police say Haynes was located around 1 p.m.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Georgetown Police Department has issued a Golden Alert for a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer’s.

Sharon Haynes, 80, went missing today when she left her home in Georgetown.

Police say Haynes has Alzheimer’s Disease and is without any of her medication. They say she will be very confused and scared if approached by anyone.

Haynes is described as a 5’5”, 127 pounds, gray hair, wearing a turtle neck type shirt, striped turquoise PJ pants and black slippers with gold buckles.

Police say she is driving a 2005 Gold/Tan Buick Lacrosse with Ky registration 475PEG. She does not understand traffic law and signals, according to police.
