WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Strong storms did some damage at Winchester Cemetery on Wednesday night.
Thursday, crews spent the day cleaning up branches and two large trees that were knocked down in the storm.
“We’ve got a little over 400 tress in the cemetery so any time we have a storm we’re always picking up limbs, said Zach Wills, the manager. “One a major storm like that we’re always kind of anxious to see what we have to deal with, what we have to clean up.”
Wills says a few headstones were also damaged but overall he says he’s thankful.
“It could have been a lot worse.”
