LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A chain reaction collision temporarily closed inbound Tates Creek Road just before New Circle Road in Lexington, according to police.
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m.
Investigators say an inbound car on Tates Creek Road, just past Gainesway Drive, rear-ended another vehicle, which pushed it into other vehicles.
Police say some people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say wet roads were a factor in the accident.
Police hoped to have inbound lanes reopened in time for the heart of the afternoon rush hour. Outbound traffic on Tates Creek Road was never affected.
