LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An accident at a busy Lexington intersection during Tuesday afternoon’s rush hour snarled traffic as detours were put in place.
The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. at Tates Creek Road and Appian Way, leading to a huge traffic backup.
The traffic signals in the intersection were on flash, so Lexington Police directed traffic.
All outbound lanes of Tates Creek Road were closed. Lexington Police diverted traffic onto Wilson Downing and Appian Way.
All outbound lanes of Tates Creek reopened around 5:45 p.m.
