LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating a crash as a possible DUI that left two people injured, a car on its roof and the front of a house damaged.
It happened Tuesday around 8:00 p.m. on Winburn Drive.
Investigators say the driver of a car on Radcliffe Road ran a red light at the intersection of Russell Cave Road and crossed over onto Winburn Drive.
Police say the driver lost control, the car hit some bushes and flipped, landed on its top and came to rest at the front door of a home, causing some structural damage to the house. The Lexington Fire Department was on the scene trying to determine the structural integrity of the house.
Police say the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital. The passenger was unconscious when officers arrived, but investigators say that person regained consciousness at the hospital. Police say the injuries to both occupants were not life-threatening.
No names were released.
