This is according to Jessamine County Animal Care and Control.

Former Mayor John Martin says the pitbull attacked him and his dog, Chelsea, off of Cherry Brook Drive.

Police helped track down and quarantine the pitbull Friday night.

Animal control says once charges are filed, the owners will likely have to go to court and could eventually have to ensure the dog is always in a kennel when taken outside.
