VERSAILLES, Ky (WTVQ)- The Versailles community learned a big lesson Saturday from one of its smallest members.
The Kentucky Blood Center held a blood drive in honor of nine-year-old Baily Ford.
Ford is fighting a type of cancer called Neuroblastoma. She relies on blood, platelet, and plasma transfusions during her treatments.
“She’s amazing. She touched so many people throughout her journey, just being herself. She’s very giving. She always wants to give back and try to help other people so this is another way of her being able to do that,” Amy Ford, Baily’s Mom, said.
Baily’s family hosted the drive to make sure there will be a strong blood supply to support their daughter and other patients who need transfusions.
