LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people are charged in connection with a robbery back in early February that left one man injured.
The Lexington Police Department arrested 25-year-old Samantha Lowery on Wednesday afternoon. They arrested 20-year-old Charles Velazquez-Lopez on February 26. Police report both are charged with Robbery.
According to authorities, they were called to an apartment building on Village Drive on the night of Thursday, February 2, 2017. Officers found a man with injuries to his head. They say he told them he was robbed and assaulted by a man and woman, and that he knew one of the two suspects. After investigating, police report that Lowery and Velazquez-Lopez used pepper spray on the victim and struck him several times in the head before taking the man’s wallet and cell phone.
Both suspects are being held in the Fayette County Detention Center, according to police.
