LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two men accused in a shooting that killed 2-year-old Nova Marie Gallman and injured one other person appeared in Lexington District Court on Wednesday.
Marquis D. Thurman and Adrian L. Dunn both entered not guilty pleas.
They will appear in court again on December 13th.
A candlelight vigil remembering Nova Gallman will be held Wednesday evening at Duncan Park. The vigil begins at 4:30 p.m. and will run until 6:00 p.m.
Meantime, a Lexington woman is collecting cash donations at the Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road until Thursday to give to little Nova’s mother to help during this tough time.
Two suspects have been charged in a shooting Monday night that sent a man to the hospital and killed Nova Marie Gallman, 2.
Police in Lexington say Marquis D. Thurman, of Georgetown, and Adrian L. Dunn of Lexington, both 20, have been charged with two counts of assault and one count of robbery.
Thurman and Dunn are scheduled to answer to those charges in a Fayette County courtroom at 1p.m. Wednesday.
Officers say, depending on evidence developed over the course of the investigation, the charges may be upgraded.
A vigil is planned to honor Gallman at Duncan Park at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police in Lexington say that two suspects have been located after a shooting Monday night at a home on Kenton Street that sent one man to the hospital and killed 2-year-old Nova Marie Gallman.
The two unidentified men showed up at a hospital for treatment of injuries they received during the exchange of gunfire, according to investigators.
Officers say the shooting happened around 11:00 p.m. after the two suspects entered the home and demanded money from the victim.
According to police, an argument ensued, culminating in multiple shots being fired, after which the two men ran off.
Investigators say the victim knew the suspects.

The Fayette County Coroner has confirmed that a two year-old has died following a shooting a home on Kenton Street Monday night.
According to the Coroner — Nova Marie Gallman, 2, was transported to University of Kentucky hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the head.
Gallman died of her injuries around 4 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Lexington Police are still searching for the two suspects involved in the shooting.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a juvenile was shot in the head and an adult male in the abdomen at a home in the 400 block of Kenton Street at North Broadway just after 11 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say three people –a woman, her child, and the woman’s boyfriend were home when two acquaintances of the boyfriend were let in.
There was an altercation in the home that led to the double-shooting, according to Police.
No names were immediately available. Both victims were rushed to University of Kentucky hospital for treatment.
According to Police, the adult male is in stable condition and the child is in critical condition.
Police are still searching for the two suspects involved in the shooting.
Kenton Street between a fourth and fifth Street has been blocked while police continue their investigation.
