RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a truck driver was injured Monday morning after the dump truck he was driving overturned in a ditch trying to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle in Madison County.
Investigators say Randy Wilson, of Barbourville, was driving a Mack dump truck south on Curtis Pike when a vehicle crossed into his lane. State Police say to avoid a collision, Wilson maneuvered his dump truck off the road, where it went into a ditch and overturned.
One lane of Curtis Pike was closed for approximately 3-hours while crews worked to remove the dump truck, according to KSP.
Wilson was taken to Baptist Health in Richmond to be treated for his injuries, according to State Police.
State Police are still investigating.
