LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A cookie delivery driver lost some dough overnight in Lexington.
Police say the driver, who works at Insomnia Cookies on Jersey Street, was making a delivery at 1510 Versailles Road at around 2 a.m.
He says he was walking around the apartment complex, looking for the right address, when he says he was approached by a man with a gun who demanded money.
The driver turned over what money he had and the suspect ran off.
Police say the driver went back to work and called police from there.
By then 15 to 25 minutes had passed.
Police say they decided not to call out K9 units because of the delayed report and the amount of foot traffic in the area.
They say the driver was not injured.
