LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Horse Park will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24. The park will operate under its normal schedule Friday through Sunday, Nov. 25-27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Showplace for Saddlebreds, the American Saddlebred Museum and Gift Shop, regularly part of the Kentucky Horse Park admission ticket, will be closed the same days as the Kentucky Horse Park.
Though the park is closed Nov. 23-24, the special holiday driving event, Southern Lights, is open every night until Dec. 31, 2016, from 5:30-10 p.m. The lighted drive will be the only attraction offered Nov. 24 and Dec. 24-31. The cost is $15 per passenger car Monday through Thursday evenings and $25 per passenger car on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
