LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky led Tennessee Tuesday night in the Big Blue Crush blood drive, 990-to-772.
It was the second day in the annual contest. The competition helps make sure Kentucky Blood Center in Lexington and Medic Regional Blood Center in Knoxville have the blood supplies they need during the holidays.
“While it looks like we’re well on our way to our seventh victory in a row, we urge Cat fans to keep coming out strong to not only ensure the win but the holiday blood supply, too,” said Martha Osborne, Kentucky Blood Center’s Executive Director of Marketing and Recruitment.
Big Blue Crush runs through Friday. Everyone who registers to give blood during Big Blue Crush will receive a free t-shirt and a chance to win a pair of tickets to watch the Cats and the Cardinals play on November 26.
