LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Laurel County deputies say a man who is responsible for a drunk driving crash now faces another charge.
The sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Jackson West of Lily was arrested Thursday night after a vehicle collision on Sinking Creek Road. Deputies say a female passenger was seriously hurt in the crash.
Investigators say they could smell alcohol on West. They say he admitted to drinking nine cans of beer before getting behind the wheel. West was arrested and charged with driving under the influence- second offense.
Deputies say they arrested West again Monday afternoon on the charge of assault- first degree.
