LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There are a number of restaurants and businesses offering deals for former and active-duty military members during Veterans Day.
On Veterans Day, Olive Garden restaurants will offer a free entrée from a special menu. The special menu features six of Olive Garden’s most popular items. Entrées are served with unlimited homemade soup or famous house salad and warm, garlic breadsticks.
LongHorn Steakhouse will offer a free appetizer or dessert (no purchase required, no restrictions) to anyone showing proof of military service. In addition, LongHorn Steakhouse will offer 10% off for guests that dine with Veterans on November 11.
IHOP is offering free Red, White, & Blue Pancakes to all veterans and active duty military. On November 11 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at participating IHOP Restaurants, all veterans and active duty military will receive the world famous pancakes with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping for free.
Johnny Carino’s is also offering a free meal from a special Veterans Day Menu. The offer includes the choice of unlimited soup or salad and is available to all active, inactive and retired military personnel this Veterans Day.
Central Kentucky Tours is honoring active military and veterans on Veterans Day by offering a special bourbon distillery tour. On November 11th, each paying guest may bring an active member of the military or a veteran along for a free tour. The tour will start at Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg and will include stops at Limestone Branch Distillery, Makers Mark Distillery, Wilderness Trail Distillery and Kentucky Cooperage where you can watch bourbon barrels being made. Upon returning to Harrodsburg at the end of the day, Beaumont Inn is offering a free meal (alcohol excluded) in The Old Owl Tavern for the active military or veteran with the purchase of a meal by their paying guest.
