NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Jessamine Co. Sheriff says students at West and East Jessamine Co. High Schools will hear from a speaker Tuesday and Wednesday about the dangers of distracted driving.
The speaker, Marshall Greene, of Summerville, Georgia, knows the hazards all too well, having lost his two sons in a distracted driving incident on January 4th, 2013.
Students will also see a simulated distracted driving situation, with multiple law enforcement agencies involved.
The events will happen at 10:00 a.m. both days, with West Jessamine High School seeing the presentation on Tuesday, and East Jessamine High School on Wednesday.
Law enforcement is advising that there will be multiple emergency vehicles around the schools on both days, and that parents and community members should not be concerned. They are all part of the presentation.
