GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The AMEN House, a non-profit food pantry in Georgetown, says they are in dire need of donations.
Director Michelle Carlisle says, “The FFA (Future Farmers of America) food drive through Scott County High School is coming soon, but that food won’t arrive here until the end of November and our shelves are really getting bare.”
Carlisle says fall and winter are the pantry’s busiest time of year, so donations are continually needed throughout the holiday season.
The pantry lists the following items as high priority needs:
- Canned soups
- Green beans
- Peanut butter
- Pasta Sauce
Donations can be dropped off at 319 E. Main St., Suite B., located in the back of the building off of North Mulberry.
Donations may be dropped off Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 a.m to noon and Tuesday 8:30 a.m. 3 p.m.
“If you were thinking about when would be a good time to drop off your food donations at AMEN House, (the) answer is now,” Carlisle posted on Facebook.
