KSP teams up with Family Resource Centers for Bell Co. student drive

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police and Family Resource Centers in Bell County are coming together for a clothing and supplies drive for Bell County schoolkids.

Trooper Ray Pace started the ball rolling on the drive, arranging the drive through meetings with center directors, as well as the Southeast Nursing Program.

Starting Tuesday, KSP is asking the public to bring the following items to the Family Resource Centers at any Bell County Elementary School, or at Bell County High School:

  • Clothing
    • New underwear boys and girls all sizes
    • New Socks boy and girls all sizes
    • Shoes new/slightly used all sizes
    • New/slightly used (all sizes particularly little children’s)
      • Shirts
      • Jeans
      • Jogging/sweat pants
      • Hoodies
      • Belts
  • Hygiene Products
    • Deodorant boy and girls
    • Lice shampoo/spray
    • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
    • Shampoo
  • Furniture – Any new or used in good condition
    • Couches
    • Chairs
    • Beds
    • Tables
    • Washer/dryers
    • Refrigerators
    • Microwaves

Troopers say if you can’t make it to a school during their hours you can drop off items at the Bell County Bus Garage between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.

The Following schools are participating in the Program: Bell Central, Yellow Creek, Right Fork, Lone Jack, Frakes, Page , and Bell County High School.
