LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-For many waiting outside for days, it was just the fuel they needed to keep going strong. With just one more day till tickets are released the anticipation for basketball season is growing.
Players coming out of their evening practice tonight hand delivered 200 boxes of Papa Johns Pizza to fans camping out and those who came out to watch all the entertainment and promotions going on at the Coca-Cola Tent City Live Stage all night.
For many Solid Blue fans it was a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite players, take selfies, and complete their collectors items with autographs from this year’s lineup.
Nine-year-old Brayden Caroll says while pointing to his signed plaque, “They’re really nice and I’ve got Monk, Fox, well all the players.”
Solid Blue fan Louis Whitt says, “It was a blast, you know. This is what I come out here for. It’s not to get my tickets but to meet and socialize with the players. You know, moments you’re not going to get out of the Big Blue Madness camp out.”
Ticket windows at Memorial Coliseum open up tomorrow at 10 pm, with a limit of two tickets per person. If you’re unable to make it down here, you can try your luck online through Ticketmaster.
