ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Only weeks after a Rock Trucking vehicle’s accident caused the partial collapse of a pedway on EKU’s campus, a dump truck owned by the same company hit an internet-cable wire and broke a pole Friday morning on 127 North in Anderson County.

The Sheriff says the truck driver had lifted the bed up to get gas, but forgot to bring it back down when he pulled out of the gas station.

The raised bed took out the cable and busted the pole.  The accident left only one lane of 127 N open for over 5 hours.  The Sheriff says cable and internet service in the area was also out during that time.

Back on September 9, a Rock Trucking vehicle ran into EKU’s pedway on Lancaster Avenue, causing it to partially collapse.

The Sheriff says the driver in Anderson County and the driver at EKU are not the same.

No charges were filed.
