DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are looking for a missing teen following the death of her stepmother.
Troopers say 15-year-old Jenna Oakley did not return home Thursday night. 52-year-old Rhonda Oakley was found dead in her home on Old Hustonville Road at around 4:30 p.m. that afternoon, according to police. Preliminary investigation leads law enforcement to believe she was killed.
Rhonda Oakley’s car was missing, and officers believe Jenna Oakley may be driving it. The missing car is a white 2014 Honda Civic, with a Kentucky ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ license plate (example below,) displaying 2113-BT.
Jenna Oakley was last seen on Wednesday afternoon at Boyle County High School, the school she attends. She is described as about 5’4″ tall, weighs 115 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and may be wearing black-framed glasses.
Troopers are asking anyone who sees the car or Jenna to call them at (859) 623-2404 or 1-800-222-5555.
State Trooper Robert Purdy says authorities are treating Jenna Oakley’s disappearance as a missing person case, and no suspects have been named in the death. Purdy says an autopsy was performed on Friday morning on Rhonda Oakley.
