LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A memorial service will be held Wednesday evening in Lexington for Ezavion Lindsey.

Lindsey died at 16 years of age as a result of a gunshot wound back in 2013.  Lexington Police say Lindsey was shot by his older half-brother, Eric Trigg.  Investigators say the shooting was accidental.

Organizers say the service is not only to remember Lindsey, but also to draw attention to gun control issues.

The ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Tates Creek Middle School.  Donations for Lindsey’s scholarship fund will be accepted.

ABC 36’s Diane Gerstenfeld will be at the service, and will speak with Tanya Lindsey, Ezavion Lindsey’s mother.
