Madison Co. deputies undertake gun, taser training


RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office put in some time training with guns and tasers between August 1st and 5th.

The resistance training also included reviewing federal and state law, along with departmental police, says the Sheriff.

Deputies were also issued, and qualified in the use of, new Glock 27 back-up weapons.

Participants in the training had to qualify for use of the firearms in day time, as well as low light and night fire.
