CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A collision between a dump truck and a pickup truck closed a stretch of US 62 in Harrison County late Tuesday afternoon, according to investigators. The dump truck ended up on its side, spilling its load of rock along with 75-gallons of diesel fuel, according to authorities.
At least one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities.
The collision happened about two-miles east of Cynthiana.
It wasn’t immediately known when the road would reopen, but some estimated around 8:00 p.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
