LAUREL COUNTY, Ky.(WTVQ) – Deputies say a missing Laurel County boy has been found safe.
Investigators say the little boy was taken from a home off Sally’s Branch Road in London by his mother, Jamie Allen, 31. Deputies say they received a call about a complaint that Allen was at that home without permission. They say Allen took off in a car with the boy, and nearly hit an officer.
Deputies found Allen at another home later in the evening. Her child was still with her and investigators say Allen pulled a knife on one of the deputies.
The sheriff says that deputy injured his hand as he and other deputies tried to arrest Allen.
Allen is facing numerous charges, including attempted murder of a police officer and wanton endangerment.
The little boy is now with his father, while his mother, Jamie Allen, is in custody at the Laurel County Detention Center.
