RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers in Richmond say a child is in critical, but stable, condition at the UK Pediatric Intensive Care Unit after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool.
Police say that just before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday they received a call about a 2-year-old boy who fell into a swimming pool and wasn’t breathing. Officers say the caller told them that bystanders were performing CPR on the child.
When Police arrived, they say the child was unresponsive. Officers continued CPR until EMS personnel arrived. The boy was taken to Baptist Health Richmond, and was later sent to UK Children’s Hospital.
