SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Pulaski Co. Sheriff says that wet road conditions were a contributing factor to an accident that sent four people to the hospital, one of whom later died.
According to the Sheriff, the accident, between an SUV and a passenger vehicle, happened at the intersection of South HWY 27 and Keno Road around 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Deputies say John V. Lyles was driving southbound with his wife on the highway, when he lost control of his SUV due to slick roads. Investigators say he spun into the oncoming lane and hit a car driven by Jordan G. New and carrying an 18-year-old passenger. Both drivers and their passengers were taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
New was later flown to University of Kentucky Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
