JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Guests at the Jackson Inn Motel woke up to a gruesome sight. The motel manager’s son says the motel found about it when a guest rang the front doorbell and pointed to the dead body lying just outside the front door.”
Motel guest Eva Campbell says, “We was in bed and the law came knocking on the door. We didn’t know what was going on.”
Eva Campbell says investigators searched her room and others throughout the motel looking for 31-year-old Willie Josh Napier. He’s wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 29-year-old Charles Costello of Jackson . Kentucky State Police say the pair got into an argument and things turned deadly. This morning Costello was found dead, lying in the parking lot with a cut to the throat.
Campbell says, “No never dream of something like this would happen.”
Police don’t know where Napier is and are asking for your help to make an arrest.
They consider him to be armed and dangerous, which leaving guests like Eva Campbell feeling shook up.
“It’s screwy. It makes you…it’s a screwy feeling because you really don’t know what’s going to happen.”
The motel manager’s son says most of the guests checked out after hearing about what happened. Campbell who is still planning on staying at the motel says she doesn’t blame them.
