WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Temporary lane closures are scheduled for this weekend and beyond along KY 1958/Van Meter Road in Clark County, according to the state. The lane closures are for a microsurfacing project, which is designed to extend the life of an existing road, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Work will be in effect: beginning at 9:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 a.m. each day/evening:
Friday, June 24
Saturday, June 25
Sunday, June 26
Monday, June 27
KY 1958/Van Meter Road:
-Lane closures will be in place from US 60/Lexington Avenue (mile point 4.845) to Rockwell/Revilo Road (mile point 5.325)
-Delays are expected throughout the project at various times — especially for motorists exiting Interstate 64 at Exit 94
-Flaggers will be onsite directing motorists
Alternate Route:
-Exit 96 for access to KY 627 and US 60
Emergency vehicles will be permitted to pass through the work zone.
All of the work is subject to change depending on the weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
