Deputies say they found Stanley Turner, 10, on the roadway, unresponsive.  He was taken to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the Pulaski Co. Coroner.

Detectives are investigating the apparent hit-and-run and asking anyone with information or who traveled on Rock Lick Creek Road around that time to contact law enforcement.

They are looking for a red, four-door car driven by a white female that may have been in the area at the time of the accident. Deputies say the driver isn’t necessarily a suspect, but investigators would like to talk with her.

A gofundme page has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses:

Funeral arraignments are still pending.
