LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say they believe one robber hit three convenience stores in Lexington, all within 20 minutes.
The first robbery was at the Shell Station on Nicholasville Road at midnight Friday.
Police say a man walked into the store with a bandanna over his face and carrying a gun.
After getting cash, he left the store, ran across the street and got into a waiting car, according to police.
Then, seven minutes later, a man tried to rob the Marathon Gas Station on Clays Mill Road, but left without getting money.
The suspect also got into a waiting car.
The third store, the Speedway on Boston Road, was hit ten minutes later, at 12:17 a.m.
After that robbery was reported, police fanned out to neighboring convenience stores in case the robber struck again.
Police hope to review surveillance video to get a look at the suspect, the car he got into and the person driving that car.
