LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Fayette Co. Coroner has identified a construction worker that died Wednesday when a trench caved in on him.
The coroner says the victim is 22-year-old Samuel Tyler Williams, a husband and father of three.
Crews on the scene say Williams was working about 16 feet down in a trench on Todds Road when the dirt and stone around the trench caved in on him.
The Fayette Co. Coroner says the man likely suffocated under the debris.
The Coroner has not identified the man, pending notification of next-of-kin.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, the man was working in a trench, when a trench wall collapsed, releasing mud and stone. Firefighters say the man was completely submerged in the collapse.
According to authorities, work was being done as part of the Todds Road widening project.
The Lexington Fire Department is on the scene of a trench collapse that has trapped a worker.
Firefighters say it happened at about 9:40 a.m. on Todds Road and Hays Boulevard.
