RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- Richmond police say two men face charges in a liquor store burglary. They say the suspects are 45-year-old Scott Kincaid of Lexington and 37-year-old Christopher Elliott of Louisville.
According to police, officers were called to Monty’s Liquor in the early m0rning hours of March 24. Investigators say the rear drive-thru window had been broken out with a sledge hammer. They say about 21 cartons of cigarettes had been stolen. Police say they learned that two men were involved in the burglary and may have been driving a maroon SUV.
Police say three days later, they were called to an attempted burglary at Waco BP. They say two suspects had broke the front door glass. Police say an officer later spotted a maroon SUV and pulled the driver over. They say Kincaid and Elliot were in the vehicle, along with burglary tools including bolt cutters, screw drivers, a hammer, gloves, bandanas, a ski mask and a toboggan.
Police say the Madison County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating a burglary that happened two hours after the liquor store burglary. Police say two suspects broke into the Dollar General store on Boonesboro Road. The police department says Kincaid and Elliot were identified as suspects in the case.
