LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Dr. Jay Box, President of Kentucky Community & Technical College System, along with other school officials and government officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking on the Newtown Campus on Wednesday for a new Campus Science Education Center.
Construction on the 64,000 sq. ft. center is expected to begin in April and be completed in January 2018.
The new center will include four large classrooms, student support areas, offices for 20 faculty and staff, and labs. The building will also be home to two technical programs, Biotechnology and Environmental Science.
