FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) -The latest as police search for a man accused in an early morning hostage situation.
Frankfort police have released a photo of the man they say took two people hostage in their home Friday morning.
Police are searching for a man they say took two people hostage at gunpoint in their home Friday morning.
According to Frankfort police, on Friday morning, Antoine Hoskins broke into a home on Cline Street belonging to family members of his girlfriend, tied up the victims, and held them at gunpoint for several hours.
Officers say the victims were able to get loose, left the home, and went to a telephone to notify the police. Investigators say they received the call around 9:00 a.m. and went to the home.
As they arrived, police say they saw a dark-colored Cadillac driving off. Officers tried to catch up to the Cadillac but were unsuccessful. Investigators say they then went back to the house and had K-9 units search the home to ensure Hoskins was not hiding inside. Those K-9 units did not discover anything, according to police.
At this point, officers believe Hoskins was the person in the dark-colored Cadillac, and are searching for him. They say the car has damage to the front end. Investigators also say the Louisville police are also looking for him in connection to a second incident with members of his girlfriend’s family in Louisville early this morning.
Frankfort police are asking anyone who sees Hoskins to call them immediately.
