RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies in Madison Co. say two juveniles who were reported missing are now safe with their parents after an arrest early Saturday morning.
According to the Sheriff, deputies went to the former Country Hearth Inn & Suites on the Eastern Bypass on Saturday just after 2:30 a.m. after they received a report of a stolen truck there.
When they arrived, deputies say they found the suspected stolen truck, and saw three people inside. When they went to investigate, deputies say the driver tried to drive off, hitting a cruiser and causing minor damage.
Deputies were able to get the driver out of the truck, and arrested him. According to deputies, he is 19-year-old Brandon Hacker of Richmond.
The two other occupants in the truck were juveniles who had been missing for a few days. Deputies say they are both safe at home with their families.
Hacker has been charged with wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property, possession charges, multiple traffic offenses, and two counts of custodial interference. He was taken to the Madison Co. Detention Center.
