Power out after collision in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Power was out about 30-to-45 minutes after a car and truck collided, taking out a utility pole at the intersection of Man O War Boulevard and Trent Boulevard, according to Lexington Police. Investigators say the late Monday afternoon collision sent the car into the pole, which resulted in repair crews being called out from Kentucky Utilities.

Police say the woman in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The two people in the truck were not hurt, according to investigators.

The accident led to the temporary closing of Man O War Boulevard from the accident intersection north to Armstrong Mill Road. The road reopened Monday evening. The accident is under investigation.
