PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police have made an arrest in connection to a March 23 armed robbery of VIP Fuels that occurred in Floyd County.
Detectives say Hayes Nicholas Hall Jr., 28, entered the business wearing a camouflage hoodie. While inside, Hall brandished a weapon and demanded money. The clerk fled from behind the counter, and locked herself inside an office. Hall then took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene on foot.
On March 31, troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Hall, who was currently being held at the Floyd Co. Detention Center on unrelated charges.
He was charged with robbery.
