WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has been arrested after eyewitnesses told police that he was firing a gun in the direction of some children at a playground.
Williamsburg police say they received a call about the gunshots around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to police, witnesses told them that in addition to firing the gun, Cody C. Mullis, 25, was also intoxicated when he fired his gun toward a playground behind apartments in the Brush Arbor community.

Officers say they found Mullis along with a 12-gauge shotgun and several spent rounds.
Mullis was arrested and taken to the Whitley Co. Detention Center.
He has been charged with 5 counts of wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
