LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It could be 40 years in prison for a man who admits to a role in the kidnapping and murder of a Richmond couple in 2010.
Sonsaray Warford and Charles Walker disappeared in June of 2010. In 2012, their buried bodies were found in a field near Richmond.
On Wednesday, Daniel Keene pleaded guilty to two counts of murder, kidnapping, and abuse of a corpse in connection to the case.
The recommended sentence is 40 years. Sentencing is scheduled for May 3.
According to an affadavit, a Richmond drug dealer wanted Walker dead because he had stolen $180,000 dollars from him. Warford was killed, just because she happened to be with him.
Keene told police he dug the grave while another defendant, Matt Denholm, tortured and killed Walker and Warford.
Denhold pleaded guilty in 2014 and is now serving a life sentence.
