WHITLEY CO., Ky. (WTVQ) -The Whitley Co. Sheriff says a call about a man passed out behind the driver’s wheel led to an arrest on drug charges.
According to the Sheriff, on Wednesday at about 9:30 p.m., a caller reported seeing a vehicle on Mt. Ash Road that was running with an apparently passed out man behind the wheel. A deputy went to the location, found the car, and had to wake up the driver, 41-year-old Everett L. Young.
The deputy says while searching Young, he found a pill bottle containing assorted pills, including what is believed to be Xanax. The deputy also says that while searching the car, he found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana, rolling papers, a pipe with residue in it, and a bag with cigars and a cigarette package, containing more pills.
Young was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.
