jail prison bars inmates

LONDON, Ky. – A U.S. District Judge has sentenced a Knott Co. man to 320 months in federal prison for unlawfully possessing firearms.

50-year-old Roy Dean Pratt’s sentence was enhanced because his criminal history classified him as an “armed career criminal,” meaning that he had been previously convicted of three or more violent felonies or serious drug offenses.  Under federal law, Pratt must serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence.
