LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – 2 people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a wreck on U.S. 25 in Laurel Co. on Tuesday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office it happened just before noon about a mile north of London. Deputies say three vehicles traveling northbound were stopped, as the lead vehicle prepared to make a left turn. That’s when deputies say a fourth vehicle, also traveling northbound, was unable to stop and hit the car at the back of the line. That car was knocked onto the eastbound shoulder of the highway. The fourth car was sent off the westbound shoulder, into a ditch on Robinson Road.
A passenger in the car that was hit was sent to St. Joseph Hospital in London. Both the driver and passenger of the other car were taken to UK Hospital in Lexington for treatment of serious injuries.
